Employee Engagement as a Micro-Foundation of AI-Driven Competitive Advantage in Higher Education
This study examines how AI-supporting organizational culture and leadership enable AI usage and improve institutional performance in higher education.
The objective is to explain how employee engagement activates the strategic value of AI. The study used survey data from 564 higher education staff in the United Arab Emirates and partial least squares structural equation modelling.
The findings show that supportive culture and leadership increase AI usage, while AI usage strengthens employee engagement. Employee engagement then translates AI usage into improved institutional adaptability, efficiency, innovation, and performance.
Personal Positioning Map Workshop
This workshop helps international students strategically position themselves for long-term academic, professional, entrepreneurial, and personal success in Germany. It addresses common challenges such as limited professional networks, insufficient market experience, language barriers, unclear career direction, and a lack of understanding of German labor-market expectations.
The objective is to help participants align their purpose, strategic milestones, and current skillset with relevant opportunities, requirements, and barriers. Through self-assessment, labor-market mapping, skills-gap analysis, and guided exercises, participants evaluate their current competitiveness and develop practical strategies to access or create valuable opportunities.
Expected outputs include a personal positioning map, skills assessment, clearly defined strategic milestones, opportunity and barrier analysis, and an individual action plan. These outputs enable participants to strengthen their professional profiles, make informed career decisions, and build a structured pathway toward long-term success in Germany.
Spousal Collaboration and Caregiving in Women-Owned SMEs: The Role of Sensing Capability
This study examines how spousal collaboration and caregiving routines help women entrepreneurs recognize market opportunities and refine their value propositions.
The objective was to explain how family-embedded resources strengthen sensing capability. The study used interviews and secondary evidence from nine women-owned SMEs.
The findings show that practical, cognitive, and emotional spousal support improves entrepreneurs’ ability to interpret market changes. Caregiving experiences also reveal customer problems and unmet needs, supporting the development of business, customer, and social value.
AI-Driven Sustainable Transformation in Family Firms
This project examines how family control, reputation, continuity, identity, and generational responsibility influence AI adoption and sustainable transformation in German family firms.
The objective is to explain how these socio-emotional priorities shape the capabilities required to identify opportunities, make strategic investments, and reconfigure resources. Qualitative case studies and a two-wave quantitative study will be combined to develop and validate an integrated model of values-driven transformation.
Expected outputs include empirical evidence, readiness diagnostics, transformation guidelines, case-based learning materials, and a practical toolkit to help family firms align AI adoption with sustainability objectives, strengthen adaptability, and build long-term competitive advantage.
